Ministry of Economy exempts micro-projects from fees

SANAA, April 21 (YPA) – Sanaa-based Ministry of Economy, Industry and Investment held on Sunday a meeting to discuss a coordination mechanism among government agencies to exempt micro-enterprises, entrepreneurs, and innovators from fees.

In the meeting, the ministry reviewed a proposed joint and integrated coordination mechanism to ensure the translation of the provisions of the Investment Law to exempt micro-enterprises and to contribute to the translation of the law’s objectives.

It emphasized the importance of simplifying procedures for small and micro-enterprise owners to obtain exemptions from all fees across all government agencies through a single window.

The meeting emphasized the need for rapid networking between the Ministry of Economy, the General Authority for Small and Micro Enterprise Development, and the General Investment Authority, in accordance with the approved mechanism, to ensure the speedy completion of transactions related to micro enterprises, and to benefit from international experiences in this field.
