Demonstrations in port of Casablanca against docking of ship carrying weapons for Israeli occupation
SANAA, April 19 (YPA) – Hundreds of Moroccan activists participated in a protest at the port of Casablanca yesterday, to denounce the docking of a ship suspected of transporting military equipment destined for the Israeli occupation army, in light of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
The protesters, who responded to the call of the “Moroccan Front to Support Palestine and Oppose Normalization,” a body that includes political, human rights, and civil activists, chanted slogans against normalization and in support of the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, expressing their categorical rejection of Moroccan ports being transformed into bridges to support the Zionist extermination machine, as they said.
The protesters accused the ship, belonging to the global shipping company “Maersk,” of transporting military equipment and spare parts for F-35 warplanes to the Israeli occupation, amid suspicions that it was headed to the “Nevatim” air base inside the occupied territories, passing through the port of Tangier Med.
