One killed, three injured due to Israeli drone strike on car in Lebanon’s Aitaroun town

BEIRUT, April 15 (YPA) – A Lebanese citizen was killed and three others were injured on Tuesday as a result of an Israeli drone attack on a car in the border town of Aitaroun in the Nabatieh Governorate in the south of the country.

The Lebanese National News Agency reported that an Israeli aircraft carried out an airstrike this afternoon, targeting a car in the town of Aitaroun in the Bint Jbeil District with three guided missiles.

The agency indicated that the attack targeted a small transport vehicle, resulting in the death of an unidentified person.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced in a statement that one person was killed and three others, including a child, were injured as a result of the Israeli attack on Aitaroun.

Earlier this morning, the Lebanese National News Agency reported that Israeli occupation forces opened machine gun fire towards the border town of Mays al-Jabal in the south of the country.

It added that an Israeli drone dropped a bomb on tobacco farmers in the town of Aita al-Shaab in the Bint Jbeil District in southern Lebanon.

These attacks come in the context of a series of daily Israeli violations in southern Lebanon of the ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah and of International Resolution 1701.
