President urges enhancing local authorities’ performance

SANAA, July 24 (YPA) – President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi al-Mashat, on Tuesday stressed the importance of exerting more efforts to enhance the performance of the local authorities to keep pace with the current challenges.

During his meeting with Deputy Minister of Local Administration Mohammed Shukat, the president urged the need to coordinate with the concerned authorities to improve the level of services provided to citizens.

The meeting touched on the activation of the local authority’s role in Hodeidah province to alleviate the suffering of citizens and the displaced due to the recent escalation of the aggression in the western coast.
