Iran forces US spy plane to withdraw

TEHRAN, Mach 20 (YPA) – A US spy drone approached Iranian airspace but withdrew after being intercepted by Iranian F-14 fighter jets and reconnaissance drones, according to the Iranian Air Force’s statement.

According to Iranian media outlets reports, Iranian aircraft forced the US drone to retreat, stressing that any violation of Iranian airspace would be met with a firm response.

For its part, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced via its media channels that Iranian forces were on high alert, indicating that any hostile aircraft would be immediately targeted if it violated Iranian airspace.
