DHAMAR, March 18 (YPA) – The head of the Earthquake and Volcano Monitoring and Study Center in Dhamar province, Engineer Mohammed Hussein Al-Houthi, reported on Monday that a minor earthquake was recorded southwest of the capital, Sanaa.
In a post shared on Facebook, Engineer Al-Houthi stated that the center’s monitoring stations detected the tremor at 11:59 p.m., measuring 2.8 on the Richter scale.
He noted that the epicenter was located in the Al-Hataresh area, approximately 17 km of southwest Sanaa, emphasizing that the quake was minor.
Al-Houthi further stated that monitoring teams continue to work tirelessly around the clock to track any seismic activity in the region and neighboring provinces.
