DAMASCUS, March 09 (YPA) – The security authorities of the Damascus-based new government suppressed a demonstration in solidarity with the victims of the massacres committed against the Alawite sect in Syria.
In the angry demonstration In Sweida, southern Syria, the protesters stressed that the practices of the Syrian Interim Administration against the people of the Syrian coast were more hideous than the crimes of oppression, discrimination and crimes that the former regime had committed against the Syrians.
The participants expressed the strong rejection of the violations and crimes committed against civilians from the Alawite sect by elements of the Syrian Interim Administration in the coastal areas of Syria.
The demonstrators held the head of the transitional phase in Syria, “Ahmed al-Sharaa”, responsible for the horrific violations against civilians on the Syrian coast, stressing that they would not accept a new tyranny under another name.
They protesters pointed out that the recent escalation campaign that the Syrian coastal areas witnessed was the result of the behavior of armed factions that carry extremist ideologies and therefore pose a threat to various segments of Syrian society.
