Iran denies receiving letter from Trump demanding negotiations

TEHRAN, March 08 (YPA) -Iran’s permanent mission to the United Nations in New York has dismissed the latest claim by US President Donald Trump about sending a letter to Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, proposing negotiations on a new nuclear deal.

“We have not received such a letter so far,” the Iranian Mission said in a statement published by official Iranian media.

Earlier, Trump said he had sent a letter to Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, inviting him to negotiate, stressing that he preferred to reach an agreement with Tehran on its nuclear program.
