GAZA, March 03 (YPA) – Salama Maarouf, the head of Gaza’s Government Media Office, confirmed on Monday that food supplies are available in markets, but they are only sufficient for a maximum of two weeks.
Maarouf explained that the trucks carrying food supplies into the strip were only enough to meet daily needs, not for storage, and not all trucks were carrying food.
He added that efforts are being made to pressure the occupation to enforce a ceasefire agreement and open the crossings.
Maarouf also mentioned that the Ministry of Economy has taken action against dozens of traders who were hoarding goods or raising prices, implementing legal measures, confiscating the goods, and selling them at the recommended price.
