SANAA, Feb. 22 (YPA) – The National Meteorological Center and Early Warning in Sana’a expected, on Friday, that the weather will be cold at night and early in the morning.
In its weather bulletin for the next 24 hours, the center expected that that low clouds will form during the day interspersed with cumulus clouds, with the possibility of scattered rain falling on parts of the central and northwestern highlands.
“It is expected that the weather in coastal areas will be mostly clear to partly cloudy, with a chance of light scattered rain over parts of the western coast. Winds will strengthen in the southern western coast and the Bab al-Mandab entrance, reaching a maximum speed of 28 knots.“
In desert areas, the weather will generally be clear, hot, and relatively dusty, with active winds reaching a maximum speed of 20 knots, stirring up dust and sand, the center said.
The center warned citizens in the mountainous highlands of temperature fluctuations and relatively cold weather.
It also alerted citizens in desert areas, especially the elderly, children, and patients, to the relatively hot weather during the day, and chest patients to the stirred-up dust.
It also warned sea-goers, fishermen and shipmasters of sea turbulence and high waves around the Socotra archipelago.
