BEIRUT, Feb. 28 (YPA) -Thousands of people in the southern Lebanese towns of Aytaroun and Aita al-Shaab, bid farewell to 95 martyrs who were killed during the brutal Zionist aggression on Lebanon.
These martyrs lost their lives during the last three months of the Israeli aggression on Lebanon and had previously been buried in temporary graves outside the towns.
Lebanese rescue teams continue to recover the bodies of martyrs from under the rubble daily.
Meanwhile, families are reclaiming the bodies of martyrs who were buried as temporary deposits outside their villages to rebury them, as the ceasefire deadline has ended and residents of the south have returned to their villages.
This morning, the southern outskirts of Aytaroun came under heavy machine gun fire during extensive sweeping operations launched from nearby Israeli enemy positions.
These attacks occurred at the same time as the town was preparing to honor and lay to rest its martyrs.
