Gaza’s civil defense reports number of martyrs’ bodies recovered so far

GAZA, Jan. 21 (YPA) – The Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip reported the number of martyr bodies recovered yesterday, Monday, from under the rubble of homes and buildings destroyed by the Israeli occupation army across the Strip’s governorates.

The Civil Defense said on Tuesday that its crews recovered eight bodies in the Gaza and northern governorates and 58 bodies in the southern governorates of the Strip.

A video clip showed the moment Gazans were at a funeral for five bodies that were recovered more than a year after they were killed in the Jabalia area in the northern Gaza Strip.

The 42-day ceasefire agreement between the Israeli occupation and Hamas movement began on Sunday, January 19, with the mediation of Qatar, Egypt, and the United States.

The agreement includes three stages, the first of which begins and lasts for six weeks, during which 33 Israeli prisoners, including women, children, the elderly, and the sick, will be exchanged for a number of Palestinian prisoners, with a gradual withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from the Gaza Strip.
