1,532 Syrians killed in less than 24 hours

DAMASCUS, Dec. 23 (YPA) – In a shocking statistic regarding the number of Syrian victims under the “Interim Government,” 1,532 Syrians, including women and children, lost their lives during the past 24 hours in various regions of Syria.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that it documented several crimes on Saturday, resulting in the deaths of 1,532 Syrians, who were killed, perished, or martyred under different circumstances.

Among the key incidents documented by the observatory:

 

  • At least 19 soldiers were killed in fierce clashes between Turkey-backed armed factions and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) near the Tishrin Dam in eastern Aleppo countryside, including 14 members of the “Syrian National Army” and 5 from the SDF.

 

 

  • Three civilians, including a woman, were killed as a result of Turkish drone strikes on a car near the town of Tall Brak in Al-Hasakah countryside.

 

  • Two members of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), were killed  in Turkish drone strikes on a car near Tall Brak in Al-Hasakah countryside.

 

  • An armed group raided a house and killed its owner cold-bloodedly near a school in the city of Manbij in eastern Aleppo countryside.

 

  • A child was killed due to the explosion of a hand grenade in the village of Husayyan in western Deir ez-Zor countryside.

 

  • A citizen’s body was found in an abandoned are in the Salah al-Din neighborhood of Aleppo province, killed under mysterious circumstances after being missing.

 

  • Unknown gunmen killed a young man after abducting him from his home in one of the  neighborhoods of Baniyas city , brutally mutilating his body.

 

  • A citizen from Baniyas city was killed by an unknown gunshot in mysterious circumstances in downtown Damascus.

 

  • A person was killed during violent clashes between a group of smugglers in Sahl Akar and Khirbat Al-Akrad areas  on the Syrian-Lebanese border.

 

  • A citizen from the village of Umm al-Rish in western Idlib countryside was killed due  to the explosion of a landmine of war remnants while he was in the coastal mountains.

 

  • A child was killed as a result of a bomb explosion after throwing it into a fire in the town of Abtaa in the central countryside of Daraa.
