Hamas calls on Security Council to stop ethnic cleansing in Gaza

GAZA, Dec. 16 (YPA) – Hamas Movement called on the UN Security Council and the international community on Sunday to take urgent action to stop the ethnic cleansing and forced displacement that the Israeli occupation has carried out in Gaza Strip.

In an official statement on Sunday, the movement described the occupation’s storming of Khalil Awida School in Beit Hanoun, north of Gaza, and committing a massacre against the displaced people as an insistence on ongoing crimes and violations.

The statement explained that the occupation forces opened direct fire on the displaced people inside the school, which resulted in the killing of at least 15 Palestinians and the injury of others, in addition to the arrest of dozens.

Dozens of women and children were also forced to flee towards Gaza City under gunpoint.

The statement stressed that the occupation government has been continuing to violate all laws and human values through daily massacres, and called for activating international mechanisms to implement arrest warrants issued against the occupation leaders as war criminals and hold them accountable for the ongoing crimes against the Palestinian people.
