Early Warning in Yemen warns cold wave sweeping various areas

SANAA, Dec. 13 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning warned on Friday of very cold weather and frost formation in a number of provinces of Yemen.

According to the weather bulletin, the center affirmed that a cold wave may target variuos areas of the pounces of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar and Bayda, as well as parts of the highlands of Ibb, Dhalea, Lahj, Abyan, Hajjah, Mahweet, Rayma, Taiz, Hadramout, Shabwa and some desert areas.

It called on citizens, especially the elderly, children, patients and workers during the late night and early morning hours, to take the necessary measures to protect themselves from the cold weather.

The center urged farmers to take also the necessary precautions and follow the instructions to protect their crops, as well as livestock herders, beekeepers and poultry keepers.
