Sanaa responds to US Treasury’s statement

SANAA, Dec. 11 (YPA) – Head of the National Committee for Prisoners’ Affairs in Sanaa, Abdul Qader Al-Mortada, mocked the false American accusations through the so-called “US Treasury statement.”

“All prisoners and detainees we have are receiving full protection and humanitarian care, and the Red Cross visits them periodically,” Al-Mortada said in a post on the “X” platform. “We consider the American accusation a purely political decision related to Yemen’s position in support of Palestine.”

He affirmed that the US Treasury’s statement was not in a position to issue accusations while they are immersed in the most heinous crimes against humanity, declared by committing crimes of genocide in Palestine and the rest of the region.

“The American prisons are full of crimes, violations, and the most heinous types of torture, killing in Iraq, Afghanistan, Guantanamo, and other atrocities that are unparalleled in human history,” Al-Mortada added.
