Ousted Syrian president Assad ‘granted asylum’ in Moscow

MOSCOW, Dec. 09 (YPA) – Bashar al-Assad, the ousted president of Syria, has reportedly arrived in Moscow along with his family after his government fell to militants.

the Russian government has granted Assad and his family asylum, the Russian First Channel announced, quoting the Russian presidency.

“President al-Assad of Syria has arrived in Moscow. Russia has granted them (him and his family) asylum on humanitarian ground.”
