Guterres: UN will continue its solidarity with Palestinian people, their rights

NEW YORK, Nov. 29 (YPA) – UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has stated that the United Nations will continue to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people and their inalienable rights to live in peace, security, and dignity.

This comes on the occasion of the “International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People,” which is renewed due to the ongoing genocide committed by Israel in the Gaza Strip without international deterrence.

Guterres highlighted the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, which has worsened daily after over a year of ruins.

He emphasized the need for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and an end to the illegal occupation of Palestinian territory, as confirmed by the International Court of Justice and the General Assembly.
