AMMAN, Nov. 25 (YPA) – A young Jordanian man was killed by Jordanian security forces after attacking the Israeli embassy in Amman on Sunday.
The incident sparked anger among the public, as Jordanian security forces have been seen as suppressing solidarity with Gaza and forming a wall to protect the Israeli occupation and its institutions.
Press reports revealed that the young attacker approached the heavily fortified “Israeli” embassy in Amman and surprised one of the “Israeli” cars that was inside the embassy gate and fired 3 bullets at the passenger in the back seat.
After carrying out his attack, the young man was able to withdraw, and the Jordanian gendarmerie pursued him and shot him dead in cold blood, without seriously trying to arrest him.
The incident highlights the intensity of internal Jordanian tension over Gaza and Palestine.
