ADEN, Nov. 17 (YPA) – The UAE-backed leadership of the Transitional Council (STC) factions ousted on Saturday a prominent leader from the Al-Subaiha tribe in Lahj province from his position for regional reasons.
Local sources familiar with the matter said of the leader Najib Saad Al-Mashouli Al-Subaihi was ousted from his position as “Chief of Staff of the Al-Anad Axis” – and Chief of Staff of the so-called “Second Hazm Brigade” for regional reasons in accordance with the systematic policy of exclusion against Al-Subaihi tribes.
The sources explained that the STC accused Al-Mashouli of colluding with the spread of the Dera al-Watan factions funded by Saudi Arabia in the areas of Al-Anad, Al-Subaiha and Radfan, in an attempt to issue a decision to overthrow.
Al-Mashouli sided with the Subaiha tribes, which announced their rejection of the transfer of the “Ninth Brigade” led by Farouk Al-Kaalouli Al-Subaihi from the Ras Amran area to Shabwa last May.
