Death toll of Palestinian journalists in Gaza rises to 183

GAZA, Nov. 01 (YPA) – Palestinian journalist Bilal Rajab was killed after a group of citizens were targeted by the Israeli occupation forces near Al-Firas Market located in the Rimal district of central Gaza.

Al-Quds Today TV reported on Friday that had mourned journalist Rajab, who was killed in the Israeli attack on Gaza and worked as one of its team.

With his death, the number of Palestinian journalists killed since the onset of the Israeli war on Gaza on October 7 has risen to 183.

Since October 7, 2023, journalists and civilians have faced ongoing Israeli aggression, which constitutes a clear violation of international laws.

According to the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club, the occupation army is detaining 12 journalists from Gaza under harsh and humiliating conditions.

In a statement on Friday, the Government Media Office in Gaza denounced the targeting, killing, and assassination of Palestinian journalists by the occupying forces.

It urged the international community and relevant journalism organizations worldwide to take action against the occupation, hold it accountable in international courts for its ongoing crimes, and apply pressure to halt the genocide and the killing of Palestinian journalists.
