SANAA, Nov. 01 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning issued warnings on Friday, advising citizens—particularly the elderly, those with health issues, and early morning workers—about the expected chilly conditions during the night and early morning hours.
In its weather bulletin for the next 23 hours, the center also advised citizens in areas expecting rain to avoid being in the bottoms of valleys and flood channels during and after rainfall and thunderstorms.
The center called on citizens to not be in the valleys and torrent passages in areas where rain is expected, and to take shelter from thunderstorms.
It also warned motorists on mountain roads of low horizontal visibility during rain, and of crossing bridges and underground tunnels during the flow of torrents.
The following is detailed information on weather forecast for Yemen based on the meteorological bulletin:
Mountainous Areas
Clear and relatively cold weather during the night and early morning in the mountainous provinces of Saada, Amran, Sana’a, Dhamar, and Al-Bayda.
During the day, conditions will be clear to partly cloudy with a possibility of scattered rain in parts of the provinces of Saada, Hajjah, Amran, Al-Mahwit, Dhamar, Raymah, and Ibb, as well as in the western parts of Saada, Amran, and Dhamar.
Coastal Areas
Expect clear to partly cloudy skies with a possibility of scattered rain in the Tihama plain and Socotra Archipelago. Moderate winds may occasionally intensify in areas along the western coast and at the entrance to Bab al-Mandab.
Desert Areas
Clear weather turning cooler at night, and clear to partly cloudy during the day, with moderate winds occasionally stirring up dust and sand.
