GAZA, Oct. 30 (YPA) – Dozens of Palestinian civilians, including children and women, have been killed and injured since the early hours of Wednesday morning, following a series of raids carried out by occupation fighter jets targeting various areas of the Gaza Strip.
Local sources reported that occupation warplanes launched intensive raids on homes and places of refuge for the displaced, resulting in the killing of several people.
In Khan Yunis, south of the Strip, four civilians, including a girl and two women, were killed as a result of shelling that targeted a house in the Sheikh Nasser area.
Earlier, a helicopter strike that targeted a tent for the displaced in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, resulted in the martyrdom of three citizens and the injury of a number of children.
Civil defense crews also recovered the bodies of six slain Palestinians from under the rubble after targeting a gathering of civilians in the Sudanese area, northwest of Gaza City.
Local sources said that violent artillery, air and naval shelling targeted the al-Nazla neighborhood in Jabalia, causing extensive damage to homes and buildings, while rescue operations are still ongoing amid increasing casualties.
In the northern Gaza Strip, the death toll from the bombing of homes near Beit Lahiya Square rose to 19, according to medical sources.
The Gaza Strip is witnessing a widespread aggression, as raids continue on civilian homes and displaced persons’ gatherings, amid international condemnation of the rising number of victims among unarmed citizens.
