UAE admits of impossibility of decisive military action in Yemen
SANAA, July 19 (YPA) – The United Arab Emirates admitted of impossibility of a decisive military action in Yemen after Four years.
Political advisor to the ruler of Abu Dhabi, Abdul Khaliq Abdullah, said in his Twitter account on Thursday about a new UAE position on the coalition’s war on Yemen, saying four years later it became clear that this war can not be won by a decisive military action.
“The war may last for another four years at a high political and humanitarian price, so if the legitimacy can be restored to Sanaa by negotiations, they will welcome the diplomatic solution,” the adviser said.
He called to stop the war immediately and the withdrawal of the UAE soldiers from Yemen by saying “I am with the cessation of war immediately, and the return of UAE soldiers to the homeland, on condition of withdrawal what he described as (Houthi militias) with peace from Hodeidah.
“The UAE has given its duty and more, and the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia has offered everything that can be offered to the legitimate government. It is time to stop the fighting and arrange a post-war situation for Yemen,” he said.
