Gaza-based health ministry says war death toll at 42,718

GAZA, Oct. 22 (YPA) – The Gaza-based Health Ministry announced on Tuesday that the death toll has mounted up at 42,718 people, in the 382nd day of the continuous aggression against the Gaza Strip, which began on October 7, 2023.

The ministry said in a statement that the total number of injuries has since reached 100,282.

According to the statement, the Israeli occupation has committed seven massacres in the area, resulting in 115 martyrs and 487 injuries reaching hospitals within the last 48 hours.

Additionally, it confirmed that several victims still keep trapped under the rubble of the destroyed buildings and in the streets, making it impossible for emergency services and civil defense teams to reach them.
