Meteorology expects cold weather over coming hours

BEIRUT, Oct. 14 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning expected on Monday that cold weather would be clear to partly cloudy, with light rains falling on scattered areas of Yemen’s different areas.

In its weather forecast, the center said the scattered rains may fall on the provinces of “Lahj, Taiz, Ibb, Mahweet, Hajjah, Abyan, Dhalea, Rayma, Dhamar, and western Saada.

It noted that the winds may be moderate in speed around the Socotra Archipelago, ranging in speed between 10-20 knots, and light to moderate in speed on the rest of the coasts.

The center stated that the desert areas would have clear weather with the possibility of cumulus clouds forming during the day and moderate winds causing dust and sand.

It warned of thunderstorms and poor horizontal visibility due to rainfall and the formation of dense cumulus clouds.
