Bolivia joins genocide lawsuit against Israel

THE HAGUE, Oct. 10 (YPA) – The International Court of Justice (ICJ) announced that Bolivia has filed a notification to intervene in the case brought by South Africa against the Zionist regime on the basis of violating the Genocide Convention.

The written statement issued by the ICJ stated that Bolivia also notified its accession to the lawsuit filed by the Republic of South Africa against the Israeli occupation under the United Nations Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide of 1948.

Bolivia indicated that the reason for its notification of intervention was that “as a State Party to the Genocide Convention, it wishes to present its views on the interpretation of the provisions relevant to this case.”

The Bolivian declaration stressed that genocide was taking place in Gaza and said, “Israel’s ongoing actions and treacherous crimes have led to an increase in the number of dead and wounded, massive destruction of homes, mass graves, and the forced displacement of the majority of the population.”

The court invited South Africa and the occupying Zionist regime to submit written comments on Bolivia’s declaration jointly.

The list of 10 countries against the Israeli occupation included Bolivia, Nicaragua, Colombia, Libya, Mexico, Palestine, Spain, Turkey, Chile, and the Maldives.
