Sales representative assaulted by STC officer in Aden

ADEN, Sept. 22 (YPA) – A sales representative of one of the pharmaceutical companies affiliated with the “Hayel Saeed Anam” group was assaulted and shot by an officer in the UAE-backed Southern Translational Council (STC)’s factions in the center of the city of Aden, southern Yemen.

Human rights sources confirmed that the leader of the STC’s factions, Sameh bin Ali had beaten the sales representative of the “Yemeni-Egyptian Pharmaceutical Company” Majid Alkhawbary after stopping his car on Friday in front of the shops “Al-Balassi Medical” in the Mansoura area.

According to the sources, the leader fired several shots from his personal weapon during the presence of the sales representative Alkhawbary, threating to kill him in front of the crowds of citizens who gathered to the scene of the incident.

Indicating that he sustained a strong blow to the head with the butt of the leader’s weapon.

The sources pointed out that one of the bullets almost killed Alkhawbary, indicating that he sustained a strong blow to the head with the butt of the leader’s weapon, while he was trying to defend himself to fall to the ground and enter into a fainting state.

The sales representative, Alkhawbary sustained a head injury and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

The leader of the Emirati-backed factions asserted that the pharmaceutical representative was driving his bus at a high speed, although reports from Yemen Tracked showed that his speed did not surpass 20 km/h.

The actions of Bin Ali against the pharmaceutical representative sparked outrage among citizens, who condemned the bullying tactics employed by elements of the STC in the city, calling for justice for Alkhawbary, following the brutal attack he suffered at the hands of the STC leader.
