Yemen Health Minister: Half million of children suffer from acute malnutrition

SANAA, July 17 (YPA) – Minister of Public Health and Population, Taha al-Mutawakel, said that more than 500 thousand children are exposed to death due to acute malnutrition in Yemen,
In an Information Workshop to Support Nutrition Issues with the participation of 40 trainees and trainees, which organized by the Nutrition Department and the National Center for Health Education and Information at the Ministry in cooperation with the Childhood Organization during the period 17-18 July, the minster pointing out that the ministry is currently working on modernizing the health system in a scientific way in order to provide better services to citizens.

Al-Mutawakel added that the coalition forces targeted more than 423 medical facilities, pointing out 250 thousand Yemeni diabetic, and more than 800 dialysis patients are suffering due to the Saudi-led coalition aggression and the all-out blockade.
The minister praised the role of the Yemeni media in conveying the Yemeni reality, which suffers the greatest humanitarian disaster in the world, and revealed the crimes of the coalition forces, and the imposition of air, sea and land blockade, and preventing medicines and medical solutions to enter into Yemen.
