Danish police arrest Swedish climate activist support Palestine in Copenhagen

SANAA, Sept. 04 (YPA) – Danish authorities arrested on Wednesday the Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg, during a pro-Palestine protest organized by students at a university in the capital, Copenhagen.

Thunberg said on Instagram that she participated in a protest against the administration of the University of Copenhagen, which did not decide on an academic boycott of Israel despite long calls for it.

After that, she posted a video showing herself handcuffed in a police car.

Thunberg, known for her climate activism, has been protesting Israeli attacks in Gaza and posting posts showing Israel committing “war crimes” and “genocide.”
