Parliament in Sanaa refers government’s draft program to special committee

SANAA, Aug. 17 (YPA) – The Parliament in Sanaa on Saturday referred the draft program of the Government of Change and Construction to a special committee for consideration.

This came after the Parliament members listened today to the government draft program, which consists of six main axes.

The program’s first and second axes include strengthening steadfastness in the face of aggression and addressing its effects, administrative development, and institutional reform. The third and fourth axes included economic, financial, and development policies, public services, and infrastructure, and the fifth and sixth included what was related to internal and foreign policy and the promotion of justice and human rights.

In the session, the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Abdulsalam Hashwal, emphasized that the government-parliament work is complementary and that success depends on cooperation, indicating that this program is preliminary in light of the circumstances that Yemen is going through.

Hashwal stressed the importance of transparency and activating regulatory bodies.
