Scattered showers targeting several Yemeni areas expected

SANAA, Aug. 12 (YPA) – National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has expected scattered showers targeting several Yemeni provinces.

In its weather bulletin on Monday, a number of scattered areas of the deserts and highlands of Hadramout, Shabwa, Abyan, Marib, Jawf, Sanaa, Dhamar, Ibb, Taiz, Dhalea, Lahj, Bayda, Saada, Hajjah, Amran, Raymah, Mahweet, would get rained.

Rain of varying intensity may be expected with severe thunderstorms during the night in Hadramout, extending to Bayda, Ibb, and Sanaa.

The center renewed its warnings to citizens against being in flood channels and valleys, calling for the necessity of taking shelter from thunderstorms.

It warned citizens against being present or crossing flood paths during and after rainfall, in addition to rock collapses, especially on mountain slopes and foothills.
