HADRAMOUT, Aug. 11 (YPA) – The leader of “Hadramout Uprising” in Al-Ayoun camp, Sheikh Saleh bin Hariz al-Marri , urged the Saudi-led coalition countries to meet demands of people unconditionally.
In a video circulated by Hadramout activists, Al-Marri emphasized that the tribes have taken to the streets to demand the rights of citizens who are suffering from hunger due to poverty, without being aware of where their wealth and revenues are going.
He explained that the people of Hadramout are suffering from a decline in real development in education and health, pointing out that the true enemy is the one who is trying to humiliate and destroy Hadhramaut.
Al-Marri noted that the tribes have mobilized to reclaim Hadramout’s rights with force, urging those who profess love for Hadhramaut to prove it by taking action.
He called for an end to the plundering and corruption of Hadramout’s resources and encouraged its people to unite and be patient until their stolen rights are restored.
Al-Marri accused local authorities of being behind the electricity outage in various districts, despite fuel tankers for power stations passing through without issue.
Activists described Sheikh Al-Marri as the “Che Guevara of Hadhramaut” for his longstanding advocacy of the citizens’ just demands.
