Death toll from Israeli aggression on Gaza continues to rise

GAZA, Aug. 07 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation massacres continued on Wednesday in several areas of the Gaza Strip as part of the war of genocide committed by the occupation army for the 306th day in a row.

The Ministry of Health announced the total toll of victims of the Israeli aggression since October 7.

The Ministry of Health stated in its daily statistical report on the number of martyrs and wounded, as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, that the occupation committed during the past 24 hours two massacres against Palestinian families, as a result of which 24 martyrs and 110 injuries reached hospitals.

The Ministry indicated that there are still a number of victims under the rubble and on the roads, and ambulance and civil defense crews cannot reach them, noting that the death toll from the Israeli aggression has risen to 39,677, in addition to 91,645 wounded since October 7.

Meanwhile, medical sources confirmed the death of three Palestinians and the injury of others due to the occupation aircraft targeting, at dawn today, a residential apartment for the Hamada family on Al-Mashhara Street in the Al-Daraj neighborhood in Gaza City.

In the south of the Gaza Strip, Israeli occupation artillery intensively bombed several areas in the town of Khuza’a, east of the city of Khan Yunis, resulting in a number of martyrs and injuries, in addition to renewed artillery shelling northwest of the new camp, north of the Nuseirat camp in the center of the Gaza Strip.

For the third month in a row, the occupation army continues its invasion of the city of Rafah, amid massive destruction of homes, streets, and infrastructure, while satellite images showed extensive bulldozing operations along the Palestinian border strip with Egypt.

The occupation’s destruction affected large areas in the city of Rafah, while resistance members engaged in clashes in the incursion areas amid almost daily targeting of occupation vehicles and gatherings of its troops in the city.

The aggression in Gaza continues after Hamas announced that it had chosen Yahya Sinwar as head of the movement instead of the martyr Ismail Haniyeh, who was assassinated in Tehran last week.

Reactions continued to the selection of Sinwar as head of the Hamas movement, and analysts said, “Hamas chose the most dangerous man for Israel, the leader of the major strategic paths in the history of the resistance and the flood axis, and this contains eloquent messages.”
