Four Palestinians killed, seven wounded by Israeli occupation gunfire in Aqaba, Tubas

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Aug. 06 (YPA) – Two Palestinian youths and a child were dawn on Tuesday killed and seven others were injured by Israeli occupation forces during a raid into the town of Aqaba, north of Tubas, bringing the death toll to four,  the Palestine Official News Agency Wafa reported, citing local sources.

According to the Ministry of Health, Nour Muhammad Yassin Al-Yassin,19, and  Ameed Yassin Ghanem,19, were killed after they were shot by Israeli  occupation forces, and were both from the town of Aqaba.

The sources said that the occupation forces sent military reinforcements to the vicinity of the Turkish Governmental Hospital in Tubas, and opened fire on the civilians, killing Bilal Izz al-Din Sawafta,14, from the city of Tubas.

A medical source at the Turkish Governmental Hospital in Tubas reported earlier on Monday evening that Ayser Abu Ara, 37, was killed due to his critical head injury.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said that seven citizens were injured with live bullets, two of whom were described as critically injured, one in the head, another in the chest, and the third in the back, while a young man was wounded with a live bullet fragment in the eye. They were transferred to the Turkish Governmental Hospital in Tubas.

In a later development, WAFA correspondent quoted the director of the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society in Tubas, Kamal Bani Odeh, that the occupation forces detained one youth after he was injured inside one of the besieged houses.

The occupation forces had stormed the town of Aqaba and besieged one of the houses, which led to the outbreak of confrontations with young men, during which the occupation soldiers fired live bullets, wounding four youths.

Local sources reported that special units of the occupation army stormed the town at first, and besieged one of the houses, before the occupation military vehicles followed them.
