Citizen killed by lightning strike in Sanaa

SANAA, July 18 (YPA) – A citizen has died after being struck by a lightning strikes while inside his home on Wednesday evening in Sanaa province.

The Civil Defense Authority reported that the citizen, Naji Ali Muhammad Al-Faiq, 45 years old, was hit by a lightning strike that hit his house in the Khashar area, Al-Faiq village, Bani Matar district, Sana’a governorate.

The Civil Defense Authority has reiterated its warning to all citizens to exercise caution and avoid using electrical and electronic devices during rain.

They also advised against attempting to cross streams, valleys, and water channels to ensure their safety.
