Hamas denies stopping negotiations in response to Al-Mawasi massacre

GAZA, July 14 (YPA) – The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) refuted on Sunday what was circulated in the media about a decision by the movement to stop negotiations, stressing that it was baseless.

This came in a statement issued by a member of the Hamas Political Bureau, Izzat Al-Rishq, in which he denied any decision by the movement to stop negotiations in response to the Al-Mawasi massacre, west of Khan Yunis.

The movement also confirmed in its statement that this “Nazi escalation” against the Palestinian people by Israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his government is one of the goals of blocking the way to reaching an agreement to stop the aggression. “This has become clear to everyone.”

Agence France-Presse reported that Hamas decided to stop negotiations aimed at reaching a ceasefire in Gaza due to “the lack of seriousness of the occupation and the continuing policy of procrastination and obstruction and committing massacres against defenseless civilians.”
