Yemen army repels Saudi-backed militias’ infiltration in Najran

NAJRAN, July 15 (YPA) – The Yemeni army on Sunday repelled an infiltration attempt of the Saudi-backed militias in Najran province, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The official added that the militias tried to advance towards Ajasher desert off Najran, but were foiled by the army.

Dozens of the militias were killed and other injured during their failed attempt to make progress on the ground, the official confirmed.

Earlier on Sunday, the Yemeni army launched an offensive against the positions of Saudi soldiers and their militias at Shurfa’a site in Najran province, leaving human and material losses in their ranks.
