Parliament continues to discuss anti-terrorism bill

SANAA, July 14 (YPA) – The Yemeni parliament continued in its meeting on Saturday to discuss articles and provisions of the anti-terrorism bill in light of the report prepared by a joint parliamentary committee.

The joint parliamentary committee is consisting of the Committee of Constitutional and Legal Affairs, the Islamic Shari’a Committee, the Defense and Security Committee and the Justice and Endowments Committee.

In this context, the government side requested the withdrawal of the bill.

After discussing this request, the parliament approved that the concerned joint parliamentary committees should meet with the competent government side to consider observations and to report the results to next meeting on Wednesday.

On the other hand, the parliament reviewed part of the report of the on Information, Culture and Tourism Committee on the manuscripts bill, which aims to preserve the scientific, cultural and historical heritage.
