Aden’s power outages get worse due to lack of supplies

ADEN, May 12 (YPA) – Aden-based Public Electricity Corporation, which is under the control of the coalition, launched an urgent distress call to supply generating stations with fuel.

The corporation’s media confirmed that the total current generation is 140 megawatts, as all diesel generation stations will be gradually stopped due to the lake of the fuel.

“Diesel has not been pumped from the ship yet, because financial procedures are being resolved between the concerned authorities and a merchant,” it added.

The owner of the corporation-owned fuel shipment, estimated at 32 thousand tons of diesel, refused to enter the oil port before paying its bill.
