Tribal sheikh kidnapped by STC in Lahj

LHAJ, May 08 (YPA) – A senior tribal sheikh was kidnapped on Tuesday in Lahj province, south of Yemen.

Tribal sources said that the members of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia kidnapped the sheikh Essam Hazza Al-Subaihi, in a checkpoint in the province.

The sources said that Al-Subaihi was taken to one of the STC camps in Aden city.

Sheikh Al-Subaihi had disputed with leaders in the STC after he invested in establishing a seaport in the Al Madaribah district of the province.
