Yemeni Parliament denounces arbitrary measures against demonstrators at western universities

SANAA, May 05 (YPA) – The Yemeni Parliament condemned the continued arbitrary measures taken by Western governments against peaceful demonstrators in a number of American and Western universities who are against the Israeli war on Gaza.

In its session today, Sunday, the Parliament emphasized that these actions are inconsistent with the values of justice and democracy that Western governments claim to represent.

It called on the international community to condemn these actions and respect the will of the people.

The Parliament also expressed regret at the continued Arab and Islamic disappointment and called for the people to support the Palestinian cause.
