Leader gets attacked by gunmen in Taiz

TAIZ, May 04 (YPA) – A leader in the “Socialist Party” was attacked by unknown gunmen in the city of Taiz.

Media sources reported that the gunmen attacked Nasr Abdul Rahman Al-Sama’I, the “Acting Secretary of the Media Department of the Socialist Party Organization loyal to the coalition in Taiz, in the Al-Jumhuriy Quarter.

The sources affirmed that the militants looted also Al-Sama’I’s bag, with mobile phone and a sum of money in his possession gunpoint, and then fled to an unknown destination.

The areas under the control of coalition factions in Taiz have witnessed unprecedented security chaos since the beginning of 2016, amid the spread of armed gangs due to the absence of state authorities.
