Huge fire breaks out at electricity station in Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, July 13 (YPA) – A huge fire on Friday broke out at the electricity station in Hadramout province, according to local sources.

The sources said, a fire broke out in a facilities of the Monawara station near the economic institution in Mukalla city, capital of Hadramout province.

Some of source believed that the cause of the fire was the electrical pressure on the station, which led to the explosion of one of the generators, pointing out the attempt by fire engines to extinguish the fire and control over it, and did not show the competent authorities about the causes of the accident until the moment.

While one of the electricity workers in the coast of Hadramawt, a young man, “Saleh Ahmed Baabeer” died of electric shock while performing his work this week.

Al-Munawwarah station in the city of Mukalla was targeted by a number of coalition air raids in April 2016.
