Heavy rains expected to prevail over Yemen various areas

SANAA, April 10 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology has expected rainfall in a number of provinces of Yemen.

The center said in its weather forecast that rain of varying intensity, sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms, to fall in parts of Saada, Hajjah, Mahweet, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Raymah, Ibb, Taiz, Marib and Jawf.

It pointed out that the weather may be hot in the deserts and western coastal plains, noting that active to strong winds are possible at times on the south of the western coast, the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, and the western Gulf of Aden.

The forecast warned citizens in areas where rain expected to fall in the valleys and flood paths during and after the rain.

It called on motorists to drive carefully on mountain roads to the decrease in horizontal visibility due to rain, low clouds, and fog formation.
