Amnesty International calls for carrying out Security Council’s resolution about Gaza

LONDON, March 27 (YPA) – Amnesty International called on Wednesday to implement the UN Security Council resolution for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

Amnesty welcomed, in a statement, a UN report that concluded that Israel had committed “genocide” in Gaza, saying that the time has come to prevent genocide in Gaza Strip.

“There are reasonable grounds to believe that Israel has committed a crime of genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza,” the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the occupied Palestinian territory, Francesca Albanese, said on Tuesday in her report submitted to the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva.
