Canada to resume funding UNRWA

WORLD, 09 (YPA) – Canada announced on Saturday that it would resume its funding for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).

This decision comes as the UNRWA revealed the results of its investigation into Israeli accusations against its employees for participating in combat in Gaza.

Canada stated in a press release that it has decided to resume aid to UNRWA. Canada is one of several Western countries that had halted funding for UNRWA following Israeli-American accusations.

The announcement came after the United Nations published the results of investigations into Israeli allegations against Palestinian organization employees.

The report, part of which was published by Reuters, included confessions from Palestinian employees admitting to torture, including drowning, in exchange for confessing to involvement in the Al-Aqsa turmoil.

The investigations revealed another scandal for the occupation in its attempt to justify its genocidal crimes against around two and a half million residents of Gaza.
