Missile attack targets American forces at “Al-Omar” oil field base in Syria

DAMSCUS, Jan. 30 (YPA) – The residential area of US army soldiers at the US base in the “Al-Omar” oil field, in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor Governorate, eastern Syria, was struck by a missile attack that directly hit it.

Press sources in Deir ez-Zor said that the sounds of violent explosions were heard from inside the Green Village, which is the US army’s residential area at the base of the “Al-Omar” oil field, as a result of the field being targeted by a missile salvo.

The sources explained that the American air defenses at the base tried to confront the attack, but to no avail.
