China, Egypt issue joint statement on developments in Red Sea, attacks on Yemen

CAIRO, Jan. 15 (YPA) – China and Egypt issued on Sunday a joint statement regarding the escalation of tension in the Red Sea, against the backdrop of the strikes launched by Britain and America in Yemen.

They emphasized the importance of ensuring the safety and security of navigation in the Red Sea and expressed concern about the expanding conflict in the region.

The statement also emphasized the need for international and regional efforts to immediately stop the Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip.
