BERLIN, Jan. 08 (YPA) – Germany’s Foreign Minister, Annalena Baerbock, revealed on Monday the Saudi role in protecting the Israeli occupation from Yemeni air attacks.
“We are grateful for the Saudi role in intercepting the missiles fired by the Houthis at Israel,” Baerbock said in press statements during her visit to the Zionist entity on Sunday. “Saudi Arabia and Israel “did not abandon the policy of normalization” after October 7.”
The ministry stressed that “Saudi Arabia is contributing decisively to Israel’s security, even in these days,” referring to the existence of long-standing Saudi cooperation that consolidates the presence of the Israeli occupation on Arab land in Palestine.
She stated “Saudi Arabia is helping to contain the risk of a regional conflict,” adding the world, especially here in the Middle East, has become a completely different place since October 7.
Baerbock indicated that the German government “does not oppose British considerations” regarding selling more Eurofighter Typhoon to Saudi Arabia based on Riyadh’s “effective” role in providing protection to the Israelis from Yemen’s strikes, noting that “the Saudi Air Force’s use of Eurofighter fighters in this context is also important.”
Germany had frozen arms sales to Riyadh due to Saudi Arabia’s human rights violations, most notably the war on Yemen, as Berlin blocked a major deal to buy 48 Eurofighter Typhoon for Riyadh that was signed in London during a visit by the Saudi prince several years ago.
However, German standards fell as soon as the Israeli entity is being attacked, as Western governments provide full support to the Israeli occupation to commit genocidal massacres against the Palestinian people, in addition to the willingness of those governments to supply weapons to the complicit regimes to protect the Zionist entity.
